What kinds of dolls can Kim customize?+
Most vinyl, resin, porcelain, and composition dolls can be repainted and rerooted. Kim regularly works on modern collector dolls, vintage dolls from the 1950s–1990s, and BJDs. If you're unsure, send a few photos and she'll advise.
How long does a commission take?+
Most commissions take between 8 and 16 weeks from deposit. Full transformations with complex wardrobes may run longer. Kim will give you a clear timeline before the deposit is due.
Can I send Kim my own doll?+
Absolutely — many clients send in a beloved doll for restoration, repaint, or a fresh wardrobe. Shipping instructions and insurance guidance are provided at booking.
Are deposits refundable?+
Deposits are 50% and non-refundable, as they reserve your slot in the studio queue and cover initial materials. They are always applied toward your final invoice.
How are dolls shipped?+
Every doll is packed in a padded, custom-built box with acid-free tissue, tracked, and fully insured. International shipping is available.
Can Kim recreate a specific person or character?+
Yes — portrait dolls of family members, and character dolls from books and film, are among her favourite projects. Please share several clear reference photos.
What happens if a doll is damaged during shipping?+
All shipments are insured. If damage occurs in transit, contact Kim within 48 hours with photographs. She will help file the claim and, when possible, repair the piece.
Do you offer payment plans?+
For commissions over $1,000, Kim can arrange a 3-payment plan (deposit, midway, balance) at no extra cost.
