Nurse, teacher, firefighter — and, always, a maker. Kim has painted and sewn her way into the small, patient world of collectible dolls.
“A doll is a small, sturdy vessel for a very big feeling. My job is to hold that feeling steady while I paint.”
Kim’s working life has always been about people at their most tender moments — as a nurse holding a patient’s hand, as a teacher meeting a child on their first hard day, as a firefighter stepping into other people’s worst afternoons. She brings that same steadiness to her studio.
Eilonwy’s Closet began as a private project — restoring dolls for family — and slowly grew into a full atelier. Every piece is painted, rerooted, and dressed by Kim alone. Nothing is outsourced; nothing is rushed.
She works in small batches so each doll gets her full attention. Collectors come for the portraiture; families come for the restorations; storytellers come for the wardrobe.
